Members learned all about the art of making miniature landscapes at the November 2007
meeting. The presentation was given by the famous Philadelphia Flower Show winners, Irene and Sabrina.
The Country Garden Club of Mount Laurel was organized in 1964, and is committed to civic and community projects.
Currently membership is open to local area residents interested in horticulture and being actively involved in the community.

Goals of our Club
- To stimulate an appreciation of plants.
- Aid in the improvement of home gardening.
- Encourage civic planting.
- Promote the artistic use of flowers in the home.
- Provide a scholarship to a Mount Laurel resident who is a member of the current graduating class.
- Develop an awareness of and concern for environmental problems.

Some of our civic projects over the years:
- Live holiday wreaths are made and presented to all public buildings in the township of Mount Laurel.
- Trees are planted at various Mount Laurel establishments to celebrate Arbor Day each year.
- A scholarship is awarded to a graduating Mount Laurel Senior.
- Flower arrangements are given to the Mount Laurel Library to decorate the main sitting area at each of the four
seasons.
- An area in the Smithville Mansion or in a Fairmount Park Home room is decorated during the holiday season.
- Annuals and perennials are planted and maintained at the Mount Laurel Library..
- A butterfly garden is maintained at the PAWS Nature Center in Mount Laurel.
- Tree certificates were presented to the schools in Mount Laurel to plant a tree for Arbor Day!.
- The war memorial in Laurel Acres Park is planted and maintained by club members.
